GENERAL INFORMATION

Leather used for car and airplanes seats are usually treated making them easier to clean and care for then seats made of material.

The main concern is to make sure they are cleaned on a regular basis, even more so if the are in a light color, because dirt and body grease can make its way through and stain permanently.

Please note that any instruction given for leather can and should also be applied to vinyl seats and upholstery.

AIRPLANE & CAR SEATS MAINTENANCE TIPS

    Cleaning
  • Clean leather, vinyl or material car seats and upholstery with Aquila gentle leather cleaner every month or more if needed. It will prevent greasy dirt build-ups on headrests and arm rests.
    This step is most important for light color leathers car seats because any build up could permanently damage colors.
    This product was designed for this particular usage, so it's very safe to use even on light color car seats!
    As for the instruction, they are quite simple: spray and wipe!
    • Moisturizing, protecting and softening
  • Once or twice a year, use URAD leather cream to moisturize, protect and shine your leather car seats.
    Car seats leather will dry out because of sun exposure and regular wear. Therefore, we recommend this step to prevent cracking, color fading, and yes, for the nice shine!

    Instructions are simple but important to follow: always test on a small, less visible area! Leathers are all different so don't gamble with it! Use VERY LITTLE! You are not trying to hide your leather, you want to moisturize it! This is not a case of "The more I use, the better the result is..." A good thumb rule is that you should not see the product on your leather. You should only see nice clean and shiny leather! Also, make sure not to fill stitches and do not apply while in direct sunlight.

    • Ideally, you should mix (about ½-½) TENDERLY and URAD together. The addition of TENDERLY will make your car seats more soft to the touch. It just makes it more comfortable and gives a more pleasant feeling! If you need more practical reasons to use it, the mix will make uniform application much easier and also dries more quickly! (About 5 min.)
